Hi! My name is Logan Beddes, and I’m so excited to meet you! I have been writing on Medium since August 2019, and it has been so fun to watch it evolve into what it is today. I’m most excited about the features that make it easier for writers to interact with their audiences and vice-versa.
For those of you looking at my profile for the first time, I wanted to give you a brief introduction so you know whose writing you’re interacting with. I am a student at Brigham Young University studying Communication Disorders. My wife and I met in an ASL class on campus, and we got married in August 2020 (let me tell you, planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic was pure insanity!). She is the love of my life, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without her.
The main topics that I write about are Mental Health, Equality, Disability, and Self-Improvement. I have dealt with depression and anxiety since I was fourteen years old, and I believe that Mental Health is not a topic that should be stigmatized. Equal rights is a topic that really gets me going, as does disability. I learned American Sign Language from a Deaf group in California, and have continued my involvement in the Deaf community here in Utah.
I strive to write every day and publish at least three or four times a week, though some weeks are more challenging than others. Here are some of my articles:
